Once you know what type of car you want to buy, you can check your options through the Amex Auto Purchasing Program by visiting amexnetwork.truecar.com. Enter the make of the car you want to purchase, as well as the ZIP code for the area in which you want to make the purchase. Then, select the desired model type and continue to the next page to select the style, color and options.
While buying a car through American Express has plenty of potential benefits, it might not be the best choice for everyone. If you are a pro negotiator focused on getting the best deal when you buy a new car, you might be able to find a better price on your own.

A big factor when buying a car on a credit card is your credit limit. Unless you have a card that offers a high credit limit, like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you probably won't be able to fund the full price of a car via credit card.
On the other hand, your card may come with a program especially for car-buying. Cardholders of The Platinum Card from American Express (another high credit limit card), or any other type of Amex members, can try using the American Express Auto Purchasing Program, which connects you to dealers who accept American Express and let you charge $2,000 or more toward a car purchase on your Amex card.
In this article, I will explain what the American Express car buying (Auto Purchasing Program) process looks like and also give you some real-world examples of the discounts and prices I found.

The Platinum Card from American Express is designed for large purchases, making it an ideal card for buying a car. There is no predefined spending capacity because, except for certain charges, most balances must be paid in full at the end of every month.
In addition to the Amex car-buying program, cardmembers can earn 5X points on flights and prepaid hotels on Amextravel.com; 1.5X points on eligible purchases at U.S. suppliers of construction materials and hardware, U.S. retailers of electronic goods, U.S. providers of shipping, software and cloud systems, and eligible purchases of $5,000 or more (up to $2 million per year, then 1X); and 1X points per $1 spent on all other eligible purchases.
To select the best credit cards for buying a car, we looked for rewards cards that can generally accommodate large purchases or that have vehicle-buying programs. This list is not exhaustive and does not cover all possible cards.
Highlighted by a generous welcome bonus offer, 4x point categories, and a variety of credits, the American Express Gold Card has a lot to like. While not a travel card, it does feature numerous benefits for the frequent vacationer like 3x points for flights (booked directly with airlines and amextravel.com) and trip insurance. Additionally, it allows you to transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to a variety of partner airlines and hotels for more value.
The second main appeal of the Amex Gold card is it earns 4x points per dollar spent at U.S. supermarkets. Unfortunately, it is only on the first $25,000 per year. After hitting the cap, the card then earns 1x points at U.S. supermarkets. Those living or traveling abroad are out of luck as the 4x points are only earned at U.S. supermarkets. Unless I am buying groceries at Target (I use my RedCard), I use my Amex Gold card for every grocery purchase.
The American Express Gold Card is a fixture in my wallet. I use it every single day, whether it be going out to eat or buying groceries. I also take advantage of the up to $120 yearly dining credit and $120 in Uber Cash to practically negate the $250 annual fee. I do not use it for any travel expenses, however. While the 3x points earned per dollar spent on flights is pretty good, I earn 5x points with my Platinum Card. Other travel expenses, including car rentals and direct hotel bookings, go on my Chase Sapphire Reserve where I earn 3x points per dollar spent. It also does not include Global Entry or TSA PreCheck reimbursement (see the best credit cards for Global Entry and TSA PreCheck reimbursement), which is a key benefit for a travel credit card.
Thanks Amex GuyMy corporate Plat amex expenses was about 1.2 crores last year, and roughly around 90 lacs in the preceding year.I hold the personal amex plat card as well but yearly expense on it are in order of 25-30 lacs only. So if I combine both the expense, it is close to 1.5 crores for last year. Hopefully this year it will be much more. I prefer using my UK credit cards for personal international expenses as they 0 forex charges and exchange rates are much better. Is the invite for centurion automatic or should I drop a note to Amex to consider for the possible upgrade. Also do you hold the centurion card.
That said, if you do have the cash, and if your dealer allows it and your credit-card company is prepared for it, buying your car with a credit card is a great way to collect cash back, frequent-flyer miles and new-card sign-up bonuses. Those can be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars in benefits to you.
To engage consumers throughout their buying journey, the right messages need to be delivered across multiple channels and devices. Behind the scenes, this means audience data for a campaign needs to be distributed to multiple tools and publisher partners. 781b155fdc
